OPSIMTM
spacerA GENERAL PURPOSE OPERATIONAL SIMULATION MODEL FOR WATER RESOURCES SYSTEMS

OPSIM™ is a general-purpose operational simulation model for water resources systems. The program has been designed to be a flexible analysis tool and may be used for a variety of applications. The software includes extensive data management tools for risk management assessments, for both design and forecasting applications. It has been specifically tailored for mining/industrial applications, but can also be used for other applications including: water supply reservoir yield; assessment of multiple water supply reservoir operating rules and strategies; and water resources planning.

OPSIM™ operates by dynamically simulating the physical processes within a water circuit on a daily or a monthly time-step basis.  These processes include the generation of water, its collection, storage, distribution, dissipation and release.  Full account is taken of all water within the system and any dissolved salts that it carries.

RocLoc Waterway Stabilization System
spacerA NOVEL TECHNIQUE FOR STABILIZING STEEP GRADIENT WATERWAYS

RocLoc is a waterway diversion system that provides engineers with a solution to the engineering and environmental challenges presented in the design of steep gradient waterways over erodable material (e.g. spoil). It is considered an innovation in engineering and won the 2003 Excellence Award in the Category of Research and Development, Engineers Australia, Queensland Division.
